Education Politics Senate members form 2014 ticket By Ben Postlethwait Posted on November 7, 2013 1 min read 0 0 356 An entry in the online directory for Ohio University student organizations indicated today that three current Student Senate members have organized an executive ticket for the spring 2014 senate elections. Under the name ONE for OU, confirmed as an electoral ticket by prospective treasurer candidate Carter Phillips, the group describes itself with the phrase “To serve the students at Ohio University through student government.” The listing was circulated online via AVW Newstime. Prospective presidential candidate and current Governmental Affairs Commissioner Jordan Ballinger offered no comment, but stated that he would have more to say at a later date. Ballinger also indicated that Alex George, another current senate member, would also have a place on the ticket. The Student Senate election will likely be held in April 2014. Last year’s election, won largely by the VOICE party headed by Nick Southall, was held on April 18.
