The Ohio University Police Department received calls in relation to theft, physical assault, social media harassment and drug and alcohol use this week.
According to OUPD records, Cassidy Paul, a resident of Jefferson Hall, reported Monday that she had been harassed on social media.
On that same day, OUPD cited an individual for possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in parking lot 58.
A Nelson Dining Hall employee, Kathryn Von Bargen, reported a stolen jacket Monday. According to OUPD records, the theft was the first of many this week.
Early Tuesday morning, a student was transported from Boyd to O’Bleness Hospital after being cited for disorderly conduct by intoxication.
Later that day, there was another report of theft. Christopher Thompson, the Department of Linguistics Chair, reported missing items in Gordy Hall.
Kirsten Lawrence, 26, reported Tuesday that someone threw an egg from a car passing her on University Terrace and the egg hit her in the face.
Two more thefts occurred Wednesday. Adrienne Covington, 21, reported that her MacBook Pro was taken from Morton Hall on Wednesday morning. Later in the day, Nicholas Kibby, 19, reported that his iPhone 6 was stolen from a basketball court at Ping Center.
On Wednesday evening, one student was cited for possession of marijuana paraphernalia and another was cited for possession of marijuana at Lincoln Hall.
Two people were cited for drugs and one for alcohol Thursday. Earlier that day, a student was cited for possession of controlled substances in the Adams Hall Parking Garage. Another student was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia later that evening.
That same evening, a student was cited for underage alcohol consumption at Glidden Hall before being transported to O’Bleness Hospital.
All cases, aside from those pertaining to drug and alcohol use, are under investigation at the time of publication.
