OUPD received the third reported rape of the semester while reports of theft on campus ran rampant over the past two weeks.
The complainant contacted OUPD early in the morning Oct. 2 to report a known acquaintance forcing unwanted sexual contact upon the alleged victim. The case is under investigation at the time of publication.
Two separate cases of stalking also occurred, both of which are under investigation at the time of publication.
OUPD received a whopping 16 reports of theft since Sept. 29, a majority of them from Homecoming Weekend.
People reported having items stolen from their vehicles, backpacks stolen from public areas, money and wallets stolen and a vehicle stolen from Parking Lot 52. These reports are still under investigation at the time of publication.
While theft increased over the past two weeks, drug and alcohol-related citations stagnated.
OUPD issued eight citations for possession of marijuana and nine citations for possession of marijuana or drug paraphernalia. Evidence was also taken due to suspicion of narcotics on Oct. 8, and marijuana was found in Parking Lot 56 later that week.
It issued three citations for disorderly conduct by intoxication and arrested one person. It also issued three citations for underage consumption and intoxication and transported four people to SEORJ for the same charge. Officers confiscated and destroyed two fake IDs and cited one person for operating a vehicle under the influence.
OUPD cited eight people for destruction of property, primarily concerning vandalism, graffiti and damage to vehicles in lots 54, 87 and 109.
It also cited 12 people for criminal trespass, five of whom were caught at the Ridges on Oct. 2 at roughly 12 a.m.
